I’m not sure how it’s possible, but I’ve been in crazy ‘get things done’ mode.  I thought for sure my last few weeks of pregnancy I’d be useless, but I’ve managed to get more done in the last couple of weeks than I have my entire pregnancy.  Andy and I have realized that we get the most accomplished when we’re hosting a party or having a baby.  Since Andy is scheduled for his vasectomy next week, I’m guessing when we want to get future stuff done we’ll be hosting more parties.  I know, getting a vasectomy 5 days before my due date is cutting it close.  Apparently urologists around here are booked for months in advance.

As much as I want this baby to come early, it would be nice to actually finish our to do list and have a few days to actually just relax and wait.  But at the same time, I’m over heartburn, back pain, peeing every 10 minutes, swollen sausage feet, and my stomach resting on my thighs when I’m sitting.

If you can avoid being in your third trimester in the peak of summer, I’d highly suggest it. I had Parker September 4th, and Pippa is due July 28th, so after spending two summers at the peak of pregnancy, I’m recommending not doing it.  But if you find yourself in my situation, the key to surviving and looking put together is the sleeveless tunic.  I prefer tunics over dresses in extreme heat because of the whole sweating/chafing thigh situation. I need to be wearing  shorts or leggings of some sort otherwise my thighs become an uncomfortable, sweaty mess.   A  maternity tunic is perfect as it’s flowy, it covers your bum, it’s longer than most maternity tanks, and you can dress them up a bit more than a tank top.  I love this pink tunic from Belly Dance Maternity…it’s perfect for a hot summer day but has just enough detail and is dressy enough to wear on a hot date night with the hubs. It’s easy to get frumpy in your third trimester, especially when it’s so warm outside, but I feel so much better about myself when I actually put a little effort into dressing my bump.

Once again, Belly Dance Maternity is offering one of my readers a $25 voucher! They also have great items for nursing mamas!  But if you can’t wait, you can get 20% off your purchase through July 19th with Promo code: discjuly
